Designing Your Solar Thermal System

Solar hot water installation - gauges [Back to Solar Site Assessment]

Once we've collected the data from your site assessment, it's time to get working on your solar water heating system design.

There are a number of details that will help determine the size and type of your solar thermal system:

  • Desired use (water heating, pool heating, radiant space heating, etc.)
  • Current, and possible future, hot water consumption
  • Component costs
  • Collector location (roof mount, ground mount, etc.)

Once we have a good idea of your ideal system, we'll write it all up and submit your proposal.

As soon as you've approved it, we'll send the proposal to Focus on Energy. When they approve it, you'll be eligible to receive up to 25% (up to $2,500) cash back on your residential solar project cost.

Businesses are also eligible for financial incentives through Focus on Energy.  You may also qualify for one or more of a number of grants, guaranteed loans, etc. offered through a number of institutions.

Once everything's approved, we'll be ready to begin your Solar Thermal Installation.
